Waiting for the mail and a plug for bookbub

So, while I patiently….okay not so patiently wait for my last book in the Lux series to get here from I have been using bookbub to find books to read. If you don’t have it I would highly suggest that you get it. They can send you daily lists of Kindle books that are available and it is the ones that are currently on sale. There are a lot to choose from and it helps alot that it sends the types of books that you want instead of a grouping of books that you have to sift through to find what you are looking for. I have found a number of cool books this way that I probably never would have even considered.

I just finished Southern Spirits by Angie Fox, it is the first book in her Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries Books. Honestly it was one of the quickest and funnest reads of any of the books I have picked up lately. It was again a book I was reading on my Kindle. The book is full of fun and just laugh-out loud humor.

The story is about Verity Long and how she has lost just about everything because she chose to go up against one of the most powerful families in town. She called off her engagement and that led to her “almost” mother-in-law treating her to social and private punishments. All she wants to do at this point is keep her home, but has no way of doing so.

When she discovers an odd vase that her ex gave her sitting on the mantle. She decides to clean it out, unwittingly bonding herself to the spirit inside, Frankie. Verity and Frankie set off to find a way to save her home and release him from being bonded to the property.

I loved this book so much! I can’t wait to read the next one! I have really gotten into reading cozy mysteries in the last couple of years and this is a really fun one. I don’t want to give away too much of the story, but if you like a good laugh and a little mystery this is a great book to read.
